And that's the difference between making big money or losing big money. Here's a recent example. I started split-testing the "check-out" page on one of our funnels and we use Convert.com to manage the split test. Convert.com is a third-party service that will rotate pages (split-test). When the visitor hits the control page, it will switch it out within milliseconds with the variation it wants to show. It then tracks which page generates the most conversions. I noticed that our conversions completely tanked all the way down to 13% when we started the split-test (normally it's around 30-35%). So here I'm trying to figure out what is going on because we're now losing big money each day. [Turn On Images] I had one of my team members go through the entire funnel on her smartphone and she commented that there was a quick "flicker" when she reached the checkout page. I commented it was probably Convert.com changing out the control page for the variation we were testing against. Guess what? She commented that she wouldn't ever order after seeing that because it made her wonder if her info was going to be hacked or something else on the checkout page. So I paused the split-test late last night and conversions on the checkout page shot up to 60% so far today. Now here's the lesson. Anything that looks "off" in your funnels or even with affiliate promotions you promote... you'll lose conversions. I personally wouldn't care if I saw a small "flicker" when I got to a checkout page, but I guess that might freak out an elderly person (our primary audience for the above funnel I just wrote about). [Turn On images] Even if you're promoting an affiliate product or service, I'd go through the entire funnel to make sure it's fully optimized and that nothing looks "off."
