We’ve been resisting Republican overreach and power-grabbing since the day we began. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ {NAME}, I’ve been having a lot of conversations about where we (Democrats broadly) need to put in the work over the next couple of years to hold the line against extreme policies and roll back Republican gains. I’m proud, and grateful, to be able to say that at the end of every conversation, I feel more confident than ever that working to achieve fair maps across the country is one of the most important endeavors we could take on. And what’s more: Our strategy is working and our team (including you) is up for the challenge. Fair maps and a representative democracy will drive progress no matter what you care about — whether that’s combating climate change or protecting reproductive rights or reforming the criminal justice system or stopping gun violence. (For me, one thing I’m passionate about is ensuring access to quality, affordable healthcare for everyone.) A second Trump administration and Republican-led government will make this work more challenging. But despite the difficult tasks ahead, success is certainly not impossible. We’ve been here before: Attorney General Eric Holder officially launched the NDRC just days before Donald Trump was inaugurated in 2017. We’ve been resisting Republican overreach and power-grabbing since the day we began, and we’ve been working in places where gerrymandering and attacks on voting rights have been egregious — places like Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Progress does not happen overnight — it takes focus and perpetual commitment. We’ve accomplished a lot together. Some of the things I’m most proud of are: - Achieving new legislative maps in Wisconsin in 2024 through an investment into the state supreme court races in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2023.
- Over the course of a few years, supporting the efforts around independent redistricting commissions in Colorado and Michigan. The commissions were eventually established, and when they were, they passed fair and competitive maps. Those maps enabled voters in Michigan to turn around in 2022 and elect a Democratic trifecta that could enact popular policies.
- Investing in hard-fought governor’s races and helping elect pro-democracy champions like Tom Wolf in Pennsylvania and Governor Tony Evers in Wisconsin — who were then all able to hold the line on Republican gerrymandering efforts. We’re playing the long game, anchored by our core belief that American voters deserve fair maps — ones that truly represent our communities. We’re not giving up on that and I’m confident we’re going to keep making gains. Helping lead this organization — organizing people in support of a cause that pushes for a better, more structurally sound and representative country — is the honor of my lifetime. I’m so grateful for your continued support of the NDRC. I hope you will stay tuned and stay engaged. We’ve got a long road ahead of us to ensure democracy is protected. My best,
Biz John Bisognano

[A.G. Holder: If the NDRC is successful in undoing manipulated maps, we will be able to achieve a system in which everyone's vote counts.](
Since 2017, the NDRC has executed a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. Our victories have been made possible by our strong community of grassroots supporters. [MAKE A DONATION](
