They are serious about bringing their Project 2025 agenda into our communities. They're dangerous — and they’re committed to staying in power. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hi, it's Claire. As the Director of Political and Campaigns here at the NDRC, I get to know the extraordinary leaders we endorse as Democracy Defenders. I also get to know extreme MAGA candidates running for key state-level offices across the country. They are serious about bringing their Project 2025 agenda into our communities. (In fact, they’ve already started.) They're dangerous — and they’re committed to staying in power. [I’m going to tell you a bit more about some of these nefarious state-level GOP candidates who are running to dismantle democracy. But before I go on, will you rush a donation right now to help support the Democracy Defenders who are running to hold the line against far-right legislators in our priority states across the country?]( Republican Jon Stone, running for reelection to the New Hampshire House: Stone, a former police officer who was fired after threatening murder, rape, and a mass shooting spree, has perpetuated some of the most dangerous and extreme MAGA lies and also supports the most dangerous and extreme MAGA views ’ including a full abortion ban. Remember, we are working to help flip chambers in New Hampshire to prevent Republicans like Stone from engaging in mid-cycle partisan gerrymandering. [Help defeat out-of-touch MAGA Republicans who support full abortion bans >>]( Republican Matt Maddock, running for reelection to the Michigan House: Not only did Maddock perpetuate the lies about the 2020 election results, he was in DC on January 6th and spoke at a pro-Trump rally the night before. You may recognize his name from a moment earlier this year when he claimed, “Three buses just loaded up with illegal invaders at Detroit Metro.” The buses were actually driving NCAA athletes to their tournament. Remember, we’re working to help hold the state house in Michigan and protect the Democratic trifecta from people like Maddock. [Help defeat election-denying MAGA Republicans who perpetuate the Big Lie >>]( Republican Shawn Still, running for reelection to the Georgia Senate. Still, who was INDICTED ALONGSIDE DONALD TRUMP for seeking to illegally overturn the 2020 election results, voted for unfair maps that would dilute the power of Black voters. Remember, in Georgia, we’ve endorsed almost thirty state legislative candidates as Democracy Defenders in the state to help prevent extreme voter suppression laws ’ like the ones enacted by MAGA Republicans. [Help defeat MAGA Republicans who enact extreme voter suppression laws that target communities of color with despicable precision >>]( Honestly, I am proud to stand on the right side of history with you — working to keep people like Stone, Maddock, and Still out of power. Our communities deserve so much better. Together, we can help elect honorable and trustworthy leaders who believe in lifting our communities up, who will defend our fundamental freedoms, and who believe our democracy is worth protecting. [Will you chip in $30 right now to help fund the work we’re putting into these must-win races?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $5]( [Donate $15]( [Donate $30]( [Donate $50]( [Donate $100]( [Another amount]( The state legislative elections we’re prioritizing this year aren’t just critical for our movement for fair maps. They’re also critical for the values we share, including protecting reproductive freedom, health care, education, LGBTQ+ rights, and other issues that fundamentally shape our lives. These races will make the biggest difference — and our endorsed candidates are ready to not only win, but also be champions for fair maps and our democracy for years to come. But they need your help right now as voters begin casting their ballots, and in the sprint through Election Day.
