I have breaking news for you, {NAME}: The Arizona Supreme Court just reinstated a Civil War-era abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest. This abortion ban goes completely against what the overwhelming majority of Arizonans and all Americans support, and we need to respond immediately. [Please, {NAME}, will you chip in $3 now to the DGA to help elect Democratic governors like myself who can fight to preserve reproductive rights across the country?]( Read on and I’ll explain more about exactly what I’m doing to fight for our fundamental rights in this critical moment. [Donate $3]( Since day one, I’ve said the decision to have a child should rest solely between a woman and her doctor, not politicians or judges. As Governor, I’ve expanded contraception access, vetoed anti-abortion bills from the state legislature, and signed executive orders to protect women and doctors from prosecution. I immediately called on the legislature to repeal this 1864 ban. And this November, I’m fighting alongside my fellow Arizonans to enshrine the right to an abortion in our state constitution. I won’t stop fighting until reproductive freedom is secured for all Arizonans. I’m not alone. Democratic governors nationwide have protected reproductive rights in their states by signing legislation to codify abortion rights into state law, stockpiling abortion medication in the midst of Republican threats, and taking executive action to protect reproductive health and veto dangerous abortion bans. But this November, there are extremists pushing for bans like this one running in key races across the country. [This is a critical moment, {NAME}, and we cannot let up on fighting for our fundamental rights. Please, will you please rush a donation of $3 or whatever you can to help elect Democratic governors nationwide?]( [Donate $3]( This team was able to beat the most dangerous Republicans on the ballot in 2022 and 2023, and I know together, we can make this leap of progress for Arizona and enshrine the right to an abortion once and for all. Thanks for taking the time to read this and pitch in. I greatly appreciate your support. With gratitude, Katie Hobbs Governor of Arizona --------------------------------------------------------------- We’re relying on grassroots supporters to provide us with the urgent resources we need to win nationwide.
