# Hey {NAME}! Our campaign is in full swing, and I wanted to give you an update on how things have been going around the district. We've been working hard at mobilizing volunteers to collect signatures so that Antonio can be on the ballot this election. As if there wasn't already enough on our plates, we're close to our first end-of-quarter deadline with the FEC as well! Here's why that's so important: - The far-right is fighting tooth and nail to make sure the seat Antonio represents flips red this November (with millions in corporate PAC and special interest money being spent throughout the district). - National Republicans have before – and will again – use our fundraising numbers against us in any way they can to help their party win, especially at a crucial deadline like the FEC's first quarterly fundraising deadline of election year. - This is our first chance to show our district, the state of New York, and the entire country that we can elect transparent and honest leaders like Antonio. Leaders who can get bills passed no matter what kind of political theater is going on. Antonio does not need tricks or lies to get re-elected. He understands the power of grassroots support and how love and compassion can overcome any sort of negative force thrown at us. That's why volunteering is more important than ever at this point of the campaign. [We're putting together a group of volunteers to help circulate petitions throughout NY-19. Would you be interested in being one?]( [COUNT ME IN]( Disclaimer: The form asks: What type of volunteer events are you most interested in?* You will have the option to check "petitioning." If petitioning isn't your thing, feel free to check one of the many other opportunities we have as well! If you've never been a petition circulator, that's completely fine! It's super easy, and it's a lot of fun to do it alongside other members of Team Delgado. Plus, we'll train you and give you everything you need to be a certified petition-expert, ready to collect signatures in your neighborhood. Petitioning not for you? No worries – if you're someone who wants to help in other ways, you can sign up for one of the many other volunteer opportunities as well. Can't commit to volunteering? That's also okay! [You can still help fuel our campaign by chipping in $5 or whatever you can.]( [DONATE]( Thanks so much for being an important part of our team! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
