Politicians are moving to weaken the Endangered Species Act. Help us fight back today! Politicians are moving to weaken the Endangered Species Act. Help us fight back today! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [header logo with donate button]( [Mexican Gray Wolf on Rock © adogslifephoto/iStock Photo]( Defender, I’m reaching out to ensure you’re aware of one of biggest threats moving through Congress right now. Rep. Bruce Westerman has introduced disastrous language to overhaul the Endangered Species Act – our nation’s most effective and powerful tool for protecting animals from extinction. If these dangerous rewrites are enacted, protections for wildlife could be severely weakened. Science could take a backseat to politics and economics when considering saving species, and politicians could decide they’re simply not worth saving. We can’t let our government turn its back on its duty to conserve wildlife and wild places. We’ll fight any attempt to gut the ESA every step of the way, and we need your help! [Don’t let politicians dismantle the ESA – click here to lend your support and fight back against extinction!]( Sincerely, Robert Dewey Defenders of Wildlife 1130 17th Street NW • Washington, DC 20036 defenders.org --------------------------------------------------------------- Photo Credit: Mexican Gray Wolf © adogslifephoto/iStock Photo This email was sent to {EMAIL} [Update]( your email preferences or [unsubscribe]( [supporter]
