I sit on the subcommittee as a truth teller—because most of what we’re looking at in the subcommittee is purely a political witch hunt. This is what Republicans do when they have power: partisan signaling based on nothing more than Fox News talking points which divide Americans and roll back our progress. [That is why it’s so important that we have a strong FEC report, so we can fight back and take back power in 2024. Every dollar matters. Can I count on you to chip in $10 before our FEC deadline in 2 days?]( If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now. Ultimately, these witnesses had previously received Trump team support and offered personal opinions and conspiracies about January 6th, COVID-19, and the 2020 Election. No one provided first-hand accounts of wrongdoing or any real evidence. → In his second hearing, Jordan invited reporters who relied on cherry-picked documents to allege conservatives were muzzled on Twitter. The reality? Content moderators who police right-wing hate speech have been laid off in droves, and previously, conservative news has long had greater visibility than left-leaning and moderate news content. → Jordan is using this special Subcommittee on Weaponization to do exactly that: weaponize the government to go after Democrats and more progressive voices. Republicans have done it for decades at every level of government: the Red Scare, the Benghazi and Vince Foster hearings, and even in Florida where Gov. DeSantis is targeting Disney and removing duly elected officials with whom he disagrees. We need to take back the House to put an end to all this.
