Greg Abbott has ordered Texas natural gas producers to sell the fuel to in-state power generators, part of an effort to restore electricity to millions who have been shivering in dark homes.
The order Abbott announced Wednesday at a news conference in Austin comes as power plants that run on natural gas have been knocked offline amid winter weather. [But he couldnât say for sure when and where Texans could expect out their electricity to be shut on or off](.
