What started as a campus improvement project at AT&T’s headquarters has turned into an art-filled, restaurant-focused, $100 million development installed not only for the 5,500 AT&T employees who office on site but also for anyone else in downtown.
[There’s a hint of Vegas in the middle of this project]( anchored by the 104-foot-tall by 84-foot-wide "media wall" that Joe Trampel, AT&T’s director of technology, says has a "higher resolution than Times Square." It won’t be a place for AT&T to air advertisements for phones, however; it will use it as an art piece — similar to a high-def outdoor art installation or the spectacle the Bellagio fountains create on the Las Vegas strip.

[Pier 1 Imports files for bankruptcy and looks for a buyer](
Pier I Imports, after years of trying to fix itself, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and said it already has the approval of its lenders to pursue a sale of the company.
The home furnishings retailer is in the process of closing up to 450 stores, including all of its stores in Canada. Among the stores already holding going-out-of-business sales, 20 are in Texas. Local stores closing are in Arlington, Burleson, Denton, Irving and Lewisville.

Billy Chemirmir is accused of killing 22 elderly people in North Texas. His case has been cited by Twitter pundits and media outlets as an example of why the United States needs tougher immigration laws.
The serial murder suspect is a Kenyan immigrant. Some have suggested he overstayed a visa and is in the U.S. illegally.
[But Chemirmir is not an unauthorized immigrant.](
