There was no Internet. There was no Instagram. Now, dancers build personal brands and grow followers for their art on social media. It’s also a way to connect with fellow dancers. In July, rehearsal director and main company dancer Sean J. Smith was fired by the company. A month later, management fired the entire main company of nine dancers over an Instagram reel.
