[Add your name to the National Education Association's (NEA) petition and pledge to tell politicians to stop banning books.]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Friend, Every student should have the freedom to walk into their school library to find books that make them feel included. Some politicians disagree. In fact, lawmakers passed 2,500+ book bans in 138 school districts between July 2021 and June 2022 alone. It’s no coincidence that most of these banned books are written by Black, brown, and LGBTQ+ authors. And there is no end in sight to these continued efforts to ban books around the country unless we join together to stop them. Don’t let politicians whitewash our history and ban our books. [Join the National Education Association to protect every student’s freedom to access books that reflect their life story — no matter who they are or where they are from.]( [SIGN NOW]( Political agendas don’t belong in our school libraries. Add your name to our petition if you agree. In solidarity, Becky Pringle President National Education Association Paid for by National Education Association. Does not equal endorsement.
