Be Fussy When Choosing Your Running Shoes
Is this going to be the year for a fitter you? Are morning runs your POA? You need to give some thought to the shoes you plan to run in as well. For the best fit, try on a new pair in the evening when your feet are swollen to their max. The right pair is light, has a wide toe box with a 0.5" gap between the toes and the shoe tip, and cushioning that doesn't drop from the heel to the toe.

Use Avocado Oil To Deep Fry, Bake, And Dress
The good fats you keep hearing about – avocado oil, pressed from avocado pulp, has them. While its mild flavor lends it well to curries, grills, and bakes, its high smoking point makes it ideal for deep frying, not just for stir-frying or as a salad dressing. However you use it, your heart and immunity will reap the rewards. Always store avocado oil in a cool, dry, and dark place.

Hot tea may prevent glaucoma.
Struggling to make the association? So did we. But a cup of hot tea every day may reduce your glaucoma risk by 74%. This was an observation and can’t be treated as an instruction just yet. If you need a theory, here it is. The antioxidants in tea may be responsible for preserving the optic nerves. Funnily, cold tea does not seem to be very helpful.

We really don’t want to throw you off your fitness schedule, but if it’s out there, you need to know. If you’re a man and you exercise vigorously 5 or more days a week, you may be encouraging the degeneration of your retina. We can sort of see how an overall physical strain may pass on to the eyes, but this again is just an observation.

Memory hacking done right.
When you want to remember something, you run it over in your head, right? You can do this while you sleep. You’ll need to play a sound when you’re receiving the info (play Celine Dion as you read the capitals of states). If you hear the same sound while you sleep, your brain will make the association and store the memory better. Pretty darn cool!
