Also: Martha Stewart's late summer recipe, feedback is a gift, and our book picks for you. [View as webpage]( [Books for Better Living]( Hello Readers! What's bringing you joy this week? I nearly squealed with delight when this little gem landed in my inbox yesterday: [Signature's 100 Best Thrillers of All Time]( I don't know about you, but I love reading thrillers — just as much as I enjoy reading about health and wellness. And with a long weekend in Mattituck, NY coming up, I plan on immersing myself in a few of these treasures as I sunbathe on the beach. Book lists like this always spark lovely memories for me. I am reminded of where I was and what frame of mind I was in while reading a particular book. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein moved me from "team movies" to "team books" as a child. I read Stephen King's It the first month of my freshman year of college. Katherine Neville's The Eight was passed amongst the staff at my first NYC restaurant job, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo published during my first year at Penguin Random House. As for Caleb Carr’s The Alienist (sigh), it's my favorite book of all time, and I read it annually. If you haven't had the pleasure, do yourself a favor and add it to your TBR pile. There are excellent book roundup lists like this all over the web. Check out some of my favs of the moment: ([The 100 Best Fantasy Novels of All Time]( [RIF’s Favorite Reads of August 2018]( [The 50 Best Books for 11- and 12-Year-Olds]( Whatever your reading tastes, there’s a book list that caters to it.
