At little to no extra cost... ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

At little to no extra cost... ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Last week I shared some thoughts and tactics on generating leads from “freebie” lead magnets (like Free + Shipping book offers)... So today I thought I’d share another tactical tip on how to follow up and convert more of those leads into paying customers. This one comes from our Head of Coaching and “King of Follow Up”, Daniel Woodrum. Take it away Daniel! ========== Thanks Craig. The reason I wanted to share this tip for follow up that actually converts is because a lot of people, especially brick-and-mortar businesses, are missing out on it when they build their contact list. Basically, it comes down to this: Whenever you have people opt-in for a free offer, make sure you ask for their phone number. If you only get their email… Chances are your autoresponder ends up unread or in the junk folder. This doesn't mean to not use email, but ideally the first contact should be via phone. Obviously don’t ask for a phone number if you have no intention of picking up the phone or having your sales team reach out to them… But there’s a way better chance of getting a reply back to a text message or phone call. And at the very least, if you don’t get through with a call… You can be fairly certain a text message will get read. (Think about it, how many of your text messages do YOU read? Probably all of them. But that’s often not the case for email) Here’s a phone script we used with great results when I owned multiple Fit Body Boot Camp locations… We made this call immediately when we got a new lead opt-in. Bonus Tip: It’s important to include a sense of urgency to get people to take action and avoid procrastination... ******* "Hey, it's Daniel from Fit Body Boot Camp. Congratulations on getting your free gift. Can’t wait to hear how it changes your life. Oh, by the way, we just finished running a free week special at our boot camp, but because you’re an action taker we’re happy to make an exception and open it back up for you if you can get started with us in the next 48 hours before we have our official kick-off. [If leaving voicemail or sending text] Please call us at ___ ASAP if you'd like to take advantage of this special offer." ******* ^^ Modify this as you see fit for your business… And then follow up via email within 12 hours if they don't reply to your initial phone call. ******* Subject line: did you get my call? Hey! It's Daniel from Fit Body Boot Camp. I wanted to make sure you received my call. I just wanted to congratulate you for being an action taker and share some great news with you! We’ve opened up a spot for you in our free trial week program but we need to hear from you soon. Would you be interested in that? We don’t want you to miss out. Talk soon! Daniel at Fit Body Boot Camp Sent from my iPhone ****** That’s it! Super simple, but this is virtually guaranteed to improve your conversions. People are most excited at the very beginning of a relationship with you and after getting a free gift… So starting a conversation with them right away keeps that momentum flowing and will help them go further down the path to buying from you. Plus, it’s just good customer service and lets them know you’re there for them. Bottom Line: Respond promptly. Create urgency. Make them an offer they can’t refuse. And follow up. Sometimes it takes multiple messages before folks finally take you up on an offer. But as the old saying goes… “The fortune is in the (Monster) follow-up”. ========== Killer tips! Thanks Daniel. Craig here again — and I want to emphasize something Daniel just shared above… RESPOND PROMPTLY to your new leads. Ideally, as soon as they come in. There’s a mountain of sales & marketing research that backs this up which I won’t get into here. But the point is… The sooner you get back to people after they grab your free lead magnet / book a call / request more information… The more likely you are to catch them in the same receptive state of mind they were in when they took action and reached out. If you leave your responses too long… Your prospects have already either forgotten about you… OR their focus has simply moved on to something else. And if you get a hold of them at THAT point… Their perception has already shifted to see you as an interruption… Rather than someone who’s simply providing more of the help or information they requested in the first place. (Yes, I know that seems crazy, but that’s how this works.) That said… Always follow up regardless. But if you want to really boost your conversions… Follow up within minutes (or seconds!) of a new lead coming in. I promise you’ll be blown away by the difference this makes. So I suggest trying it ASAP. Success Loves Speed, Craig PS - If you’re ready to 2X your income (or more) while working 10 less hours per week... ... Just REPLY to this email with the words “2X 10 LESS” and we'll set up a time to chat with you to find out if we can help.
