Many years ago I read a book called The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz. Despite the fact that it was an older book (and in some places took a long time to make a point)... The message stuck with me. It helped me to recognize the importance of mindset… And learn that just by controlling my thinking... I could literally shape my own life’s outcomes. You see… People tend to limit themselves based on prior experience, their environment, and what they’re exposed to. They set revenue targets that are too low… Or settle for a “work too much for not enough” lifestyle… Because they accept the notion that’s where they belong. But when you challenge yourself to think bigger and push beyond self-imposed limitations? An entire world of new success and possibility opens up before you… And you’ll feel your whole reality start to expand. Best of all, this isn’t some trait successful people are simply born with… It’s 100% a skill that can be learned and improved. Here’s 3 of my favorite ways to think BIGGER and add more “magic” to your life: 1) Be Around Bigger Players If you spend all your time in your FB group receiving compliments from your 200 members… Your field of reality gets distorted. You develop “Big Fish Small Pond” syndrome. And you’re actually missing out on a great big world of opportunity. The same goes for the coaching and business environments where you spend your time. If all I did was go to the Stratford Chamber of Commerce meetings in my little hometown… I’d be the richest guy in the room (although probably not the smartest!). And before long, success-killing complacency would set in. That’s why you must be at Masterminds, events, summits, and workshops where bigger players are interacting and sharing knowledge. There’s no shortage of opportunity, and there are no excuses. If a socially anxious, shy person like me could go to six events per year back in my introverted years (2006-2011)... Then you can absolutely get out of your bubble and spend time in bigger, better environments too. For example, clients like Petar Jurina have traveled (many times!) all the way from Croatia to attend my coaching workshops, Masterminds, and Retreats. Similarly, long-time client Daniel Schreiber joined us in Cancun after flying all the way from Taiwan. And Dr. Hasan Akram flies from Germany to Cancun for our Masterminds. The power of being in those rooms is life changing! Being around BIG thinkers is probably the number one reason I am where I am today. If it was just me sitting around my kitchen table on the farm in Stratford… I probably would have topped out at a half-a-million bucks back in 2006. That’s why Small Fish BIG Pond is the better lifestyle for me. At first it might be uncomfortable to swim in bigger waters… But it’s the only way you’ll grow. 2) Hunt Whales Another benefit of bigger waters: That’s where you find whales. I have $25K clients (like the 9-figure solar CEO that recently hired me for a day) who get their marching orders, go execute, and I may not even hear from them again. Because they are operators and they’re not looking for me to check the spelling on their website like some folks might want me to. These $25K clients are the least draining on my time and mental bandwidth… Yet I can help them achieve HUGE results and am ecstatic to work with them every day. When you can get fewer clients… who write bigger checks… it’s a game changer. As Founder of Fit Body Boot Camp, my pal Bedros Keuilian is the same way… While he wants to have 2500 franchise locations, he doesn’t want 2500 franchise owners. Instead, he’d rather have hundreds of multiple location owners (like me – I once owned 4!). Multi-unit franchisees are less hassle to deal with. Your job? Think about how you can create a premium level experience in your business. One where you charge more… But have a smaller number of high quality clients.  3) Figure Out WHO Can Do Stuff For You (not HOW you can do it yourself) You are the “OPRAH” of your business. You are the Superstar. You must be doing the things that only you can do. Someone else must do everything else. - Get an admin to run your errands. - Get a video editor to create your clips. - Get a copywriter to write your sales pages. - Get a cleaning service, meal delivery, dogwalker, lawn care company… that all come to you Make everything in your life more convenient… So that you can focus on what matters. Become selectively lazy. And stop doing $10, $25, and $50 / hour tasks… So that you can spend your time building your Empire, making big connections, and doing big things. ***** Remember... It’s up to you to manage your mindset. Success isn’t a right, it’s your obligation. Because when you and I succeed… More people win. That’s why I only work with people who are dedicated to improving the lives of others. But we wouldn’t have much opportunity to do that if we’re just thinking small — swimming around like a puffer fish in a tiny garden pond in someone’s backyard. Nope. We must think bigger. We must act bigger. We must grow bigger. That’s where the magic happens. You know what to do. Now let’s GO!
