Rupert Murdochâs once-respected paper says Democrats are the real problem [Courier]( Friend, In recent days, more and more people are finally calling Donald Trump what he is: a fascist. Kamala Harris, General Mark Milley, and even The New York Times are using the term to describe the growing threat Trump poses to our democracy. After years of hesitation, apparently, the reality is now too glaring to ignore. The shift comes in response to Trumpâs latest threats to use the military against what he calls âthe enemy withinââ anyone who disagrees with him or works to protect our elections. Trumpâs repeated rhetoric about turning the military on his political opponents is a clear warning of the authoritarian path heâs prepared to take. But while many are (finally) waking up to the danger, the Wall Street Journalâowned by Rupert Murdochâhas dismissed the fascism label as nothing more than a âmeme.â According to them, the public wonât accept it, because in their eyes, the real âfascistsâ are Democrats who want to use the government to actually solve problems. [Weâll explain more about how the Wall Street Journal is doing Trumpâs dirty work by deliberately downplaying his fascist tendencies in a moment, but if youâre ready to do your part to correct bias in legacy media and stop right-wing propaganda, please consider making a donation of $25 or more to COURIER today.]( The Wall Street Journalâs attempt to save Trump from the media storm against him is laughable. The paper dismisses the fascism allegations by claiming that Trump was a âderegulatorâ for most of his term, even arguing that the most fascist thing Trump attempted to do was build the border wall. The paper claimed this is small potatoes compared to President Bidenâs student loan forgiveness plan and the Democratsâ âculture war.â WSJ even alleged that Democrats have used fascism in an attempt to beat Trump by prosecuting him for his actions. The Wall Street Journal mostly ignored Trumpâs most authoritarian moments, like his refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election that ended with the attacks on the Capitol on January 6. Or his threats to jail or use military force on his current and past political enemies, including Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Liz Cheney, and the press. The Wall Street Journal says these are not relevant because âchecks and balancesâ have previously prevented Trump from following through on his promises â something that would be impossible if Trump is able to follow through on his threats to only appoint trusted allies to government positions. Look, the folks at the Wall Street Journal arenât stupid. They want to give themselves and their readers a justification to vote for Trump, and theyâre willing to do all sorts of mental gymnastics to do it. But we can't let that go unanswered. Here at COURIER, weâve been honest about Trump from the beginning. And while weâre glad most of the legacy media are on board now, we know thatâs not enough. Right-wing rags like The Wall Street Journal shouldnât be allowed to pretend theyâre unbiased, and they should be taken to task for spreading Trump talking points.
