Why is the legacy media still pretending Bret Baier is a serious journalist? Friend, Yesterday, Vice

Why is the legacy media still pretending Bret Baier is a serious journalist? [Courier]( Friend, Yesterday, Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, often praised by legacy media as a serious journalist. Given Baier’s reputation, one might have expected a fair interview, but the reality couldn’t have been more different. Throughout the interview, Baier frequently interrupted Harris, cutting her off and preventing her from fully responding to his questions. He leaned heavily on far-right talking points, focusing on scare tactics like immigration and transgender rights, echoing Donald Trump. At one point, Baier even played a Trump campaign ad, further amplifying Trump’s message. Most notably, Baier and Fox News distorted Trump’s recent comments about using the military against his Democratic critics. Instead of showing the actual clip where Trump made the alarming statement, they aired an unrelated video of him falsely accusing his opponents of weaponizing the legal system against him. [We’ll break down the interview and the fallout in a moment, but if you believe in COURIER’s mission to take on Fox News and the far-right, can you chip in $17 to support us?]( Right-wing media wasted no time going on the attack. Megyn Kelly called Harris “incapable,” and other conservative commentators echoed similar insults, claiming Harris had run into a "Bret Baier buzzsaw." However, in reality, Harris held her ground, calling out Trump’s threat to democracy and outlining her policy positions. Despite the few opportunities Baier gave her to respond, she did so clearly and thoughtfully. And unlike Trump, who often demeans reporters he doesn’t like with insults like "nasty," Harris maintained her composure, showing dignity throughout. Harris displayed true presidential leadership, but that’s not the narrative Fox News viewers will hear. Fox News will use the interview to keep smearing Harris as an angry radical, and unfortunately, their attacks will be amplified far beyond Fox News. In the name of “balance” many in the legacy press will take the bait and far-right influencers will continue to spread their lies on social media. But here’s the good news: COURIER is already pushing back. We call out Trump, Fox News, and legacy media by reporting the truth to communities that are vulnerable to right-wing misinformation.
