Watch & discuss: The powerful truth behind the school-to-prison pipeline [Watch our new video!]( Dear Friend, For the last four years, Corporate Accountabilityâs Black Collective has been committed to advancing research on our three focus areas: education, police violence, and reparations, and how these issues impact the Black community. More specifically our team has worked diligently to hold major corporations accountable for the harms they cause towards Black people, particularly regarding their involvement in the prison industrial complex and their historical ties to the Transatlantic slave trade. Our research further uncovers what has been exposed by many: that many of these same corporations that once profited from slavery are now heavily involved in the United Statesâ public education system. This has created a pipeline that funnels Black and Brown youth directly from schools into the prison system. The Black Collective has developed a documentary series to highlight these connections, [starting with a video that explores the root causes of the school-to-prison pipeline](. The second part will focus on the corporations involved in this system, while the third part will explore solutions, recognizing the pipeline as a human rights issue. We will also be hosting a webinar featuring community leaders, researchers, and experts on the school-to-prison pipeline. Watch for an invite soon. This campaign is not just a Corporate Accountability or Black Collective project -- itâs a project for humanity, supporting Black people, youth of color, and all children. Learn more and take action to stop the school-to-prison pipeline today! [Watch the video NOW]( Although Black youth make up only about 14% of the total population, they represent 40% of the juvenile population. This disproportionate impact extends to public schools, where Black students are more likely to face harsher disciplinary actions, including higher rates of suspension, expulsion, and placement in alternative or juvenile justice programs compared to their white peers. Without immediate action, this pipeline will continue to perpetuate injustice, driven by harmful policies, exploitation of the 13th Amendment, and a persistent lack of resources in our communities. [Help us take action today by watching and sharing this video with your friends, family, and neighbors.]( We also ask for your support as we raise funds to continue this research, advocacy, and re-grant to Black-led organizations that pioneered this work and continue to make strides. Together, we can build on these efforts and create lasting change. We cannot remain silent in the face of these injustices. Thank you for joining us in this ongoing struggle for justice. In Solidarity, The Black Collective

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet.
