And there was some incredibly exciting organizing that happened around the world with partners in communities facing water crises, water system privatization threats, and more. Allies and partners from across the African continent, as part of the Our Water Our Right Africa Coalition, spent the day building power with and uplifting the voices of communities most impacted by water injustice. They met with decision-makers and journalists from across the continent to build a deeper understanding of what’s truly at stake when we turn control of water systems over to corporations. And beyond World Water Day, a team of organizers on our water campaign traveled to Houston, TX to [celebrate our recent coalition win with local partners](. While they were there, they also held a community meeting, met with local public officials to educate them on the dangers of corporate takeovers of public water systems, and did some long-term strategic planning with our allies. On top of World Water Day, here are just a few of the ways that you have collectively been challenging corporate power in the past month: Demanding justice for Flint 10 years into the water crisis [Sign reading Flint Lives Matter](We spent this month hatching some plans in deep partnership with our allies at Flint Rising to recognize the upcoming tragic milestone of 10 years since the start of Flint’s water crisis. The people of Flint are still without clean water a decade later and no one has been held accountable for their role. We are going to make sure that fact is not forgotten. Stay tuned for much more on the anniversary of the Flint water crisis in the coming weeks. And in the meantime, [you can support both Flint Rising and Corporate Accountability’s water campaign by donating here](. Half your gift will go directly to Flint Rising, and the other half will support our global campaign to protect the human right to water. Standing in solidarity with the people of Palestine We call for a permanent ceasefire and an end to genocide, profiteering, and occupation now! Our hearts continue to be broken daily by the images and news coming out of Gaza and the West Bank. We mourn the loss of all lives -- Palestinian, Israeli, and other nationals -- on those lands. [Read Corporate Accountability's solidarity statement](. And read the [Black Collective's statement in solidarity with Palestinian liberation](. Strengthening the movement challenging corporate abuse [Activists at a climate rally](Corporate Accountability's grantmaking program has a new official home on our website. Corporate Accountability’s Movement Solidarity Fund moves financial resources to campaign organizations and liberatory social movements dismantling corporate power, reclaiming peoples’ sovereignty, and building a world rooted in cooperation, care, and sacredness of all life. Through the fund, we aim to establish equitable and mutual flows of resources and wisdom-sharing that strengthen us all. [Learn more about this program that raises and redistributes financial resources to our collaborators and leaders on the front lines of corporate abuse]( Help us find our next executive leadership! [We Are Hiring Executive Direcor(s)](As we shared last month, our Executive Director, Patti Lynn, will be transitioning out of her role. We’ve just launched the search for our next executive director or co-director pair, and we hope you’ll help spread the word. The next executive leadership will direct organizational strategy, develop campaigns, and build organizational culture. They’ll hold their own against CEOs and other representatives of transnational corporate power. And they’ll lead the organization to joyfully seize this historical moment of profound opportunity. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential. [State Disclosures.]( Write to us at info@corporateaccountability.org or call us at +1-800-688-8797 (U.S.).
