This is something I do every year, usually in the fall when I begin planning for the following year. But due to the circumstances, I found myself home with a little extra time to complete this year’s core curriculum, so I jumped right in. What did I learn? • Constant learning is a good thing. I don’t know about you, but I get so heads down in my day that sometimes it’s simply checking off things to do. I need to step away to grow. • Adapting is hard but necessary. I call it “productive discomfort” - getting uncomfortable for the sake of growth. It’s looking at the marketing I’ve been doing and knowing I need to shake it up a little not only for new revenue, but more importantly, continued customer interest and engagement. • Finding new names, faces and ideas is so important. Do you have your go-to people you turn to for ideas and advice? CMI U brings in some names you know, and some names you don’t (yet). New perspectives help spark fresh ideas.
