Hi Ify, I had missed this so thanks for bumping it.
I agree it could be a good idea and I'll add it to the list of potential updates for the future.
The consideration we have with any additions to the dashboard is server load and speed. The more calculations we have to make in real time, the more resource intense it becomes and we face the potential of slowing the feed down. So, the benefits have to significantly outweigh the negatives on anything we add.
I'm not convinced a moving average line meets that requirement, as for me, I'm more concerned about what today is like versus the last month (which is what the horizontal line measures), more than what right now today is like compared to today on average. However, I'll listen to feedback on what other people think. Just because I don't think something is of much benefit, doesn't mean others feel the same. It's about numbers.
Please always keep suggestions coming. I won't always implement them, but I will always consider them and do what I can if it makes sense from a wider perspective.
P.S. unrelated to this thread but, I'm not trading today so there won't be a video sorry.

Hi James. Not sure you've seen this but any thoughts on my message? It's just the liquidity indicator is seeming more important by the day, especially going by your recent commentary. Thanks

Thanks James. I agree you wouldn't want to keep adding features for the sake of it.Â
In saying that there may be a little misunderstanding about what I suggested. You're absolutely right that there's no value in what 'right now today is like compared to today on average'.
If I can explain it another way it would be like  having the first column of the pip, tick and liquidity bars (average for the session) but for the overall liquidity in the market. So essentially you'd have the white centre line (average for month) and a single bar moving vertically above and below the line visually depicting whether the overall average session liquidity is above or below the monthly average. If anything this might simply the whole liquidity indicator and make it easier to interpret. As you said it's not about where the liquidity is over a few minutes but how consistent it is around the average to assess the quality of the market session.Â
Sorry for the long post, but it's hard to explain with words! Hope it helps you and others in some way, if nothing else, sparking some conversation.
cheers
