As a teacher, I also experienced the painful impact of disinvestment on my students and their families. We cannot make Chicago whole until all of us are whole. That’s why we’re going to invest in people. Safe and vibrant neighborhoods, affordable housing, health care for all, fully-funded schools — the life I want for my family and my neighbors is the same life I want for all Chicagoans.
