Tonight, [AI and the Future of Us: An Oprah Winfrey Special]( will air on ABC. The show promises that it "explores the profound impact of artificial intelligence on people's daily lives, demystifying the technology and empowering viewers to understand and navigate the rapidly evolving AI future." All that in one hour? I guess if anyone can do that, it's Oprah. ABC's website confirms that the special will include interviews with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, technology reviewer Marques Brownlee, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Pulitzer-Prize winning author Marilynne Robinson and the Center for Humane Technology's co-founders. In other words, Oprah has rounded up some of the biggest names in AI — as well as some of its biggest critics. It's bound to be quite the show, and I'm excited to tune in.
