Balderson voted to elect right-wing extremist Jim Jordan as speaker a whopping THREE TIMES {NAME}, Yesterday, I wrote to you about why I am running for Congress. Among the reasons is the blatant disregard and disrespect that my opponent, Congressman Troy Balderson (R-OH), has for both his constituents and district. Today I’d like to go into a bit more depth:  When you look up used car salesmen in the Oxford dictionary, they describe the term as, “the stereotype of a used-car salesmen often found in jokes, cartoons etc. is that they are not sincere, honest or reliable.” Before running for Congress, Balderson literally owned and managed a used car dealership where he lived up to the stereotype in every sense of the term.  Inheriting his family business, Balderson Motor Sales through nepotism rather than merit, Troy encouraged deceptive business practices and is alleged to have maintained a delicate balancing act of running massive debts.  Things finally came crashing down for Balderson Motor Sales when Troy was in his first term of Congress and Ohio’s Attorney General brought legal action against the dealership. Dozens of customers who purchased vehicles from Balderson Motor Sales never received their titles, in many cases because the cars they purchased had already had loans taken out on them by Troy’s brother Thomas. Some customers complained that auto loans were initiated without authorization. And when all was said and done the business owed around $500,000 to banks, former customers, and acquaintances. Now serving in his third term in Congress, Balderson has brought his practices from Balderson Motor Sales to Capitol Hill.  Rather than fighting for his constituents in his largely rural and poor district he has sold them out at every turn in favor of massive corporations. Take these examples for instance:  - When he had an opportunity to negotiate down prescription drug costs for his constituents he sided with the pharmaceutical industry. Why? Perhaps because Balderson has received $134,208 in campaign contributions from Big Pharma from between 2017-2023. - He worked to cut Ohioans social safety net while serving in the Ohio State Senate and in Congress has worked tirelessly to cut Medicaid and entitlements that protect our most vulnerable Americans.  - Has worked to undermine access to reproductive healthcare for his female constituents and loudly supported the repeal of Roe vs. Wade. - He voted against the bipartisan infrastructure bill, then touted it as a victory in his district when it passed.  On top of his disregard and disdain for the folks who live in his district he has also been a diligent participant in the extreme right wing operation to tear apart the fabric of our democracy.  Former President Donald Trump and his henchman Troy Balderson hold hands at one of the Congressman’s campaign rallies.  Rep. Balderson failed to hold President Trump accountable for the Jan. 6 insurrection on our Capitol building and did not vote to impeach him. He called the impeachment process “rushed” and withheld his support for it. On top of this, Rep. Balderson voted to stop the formation of the bipartisan Jan. 6 commission. Last fall, Balderson voted to elect right-wing extremist Congressman Jim Jordan as Speaker of the House a whopping THREE TIMES and refused to stand with the coalition of principled conservatives who withheld their votes from him. As the GOP discusses impeaching Speaker Johnson and the specter of a Jordan speakership returns we know that Balderson will be leading the pack trying to make it happen. As an Ohioan, Balderson should know better than to support Jim Jordan who is accused by dozens of his former wrestlers of enabling sexual abuse at Ohio State University while he was a coach there.  [We cannot allow Troy Balderson, a literal used car salesmen, to continue selling out his constituents and hold our nation hostage as he tries to elect his ally Jim Jordan to House Speaker. Can you help me unseat him with a contribution of $10 or whatever you can spare to help me build the movement that will take him down this 2024?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $5]( [Donate $10]( [Donate $25]( [Donate $50]( [Donate $100]( [Donate $250]( Donate [another amount]( your impact with a monthly contribution!]( Something special is happening in this district and I look forward to working with you to kick out this used car salesman and bring real leadership back to Ohio’s 12th.  Thank you in advance for your support.  Jerrad Christian  Democrat Nominee for OH-12 Jerrad Christian Democrat Nominee for Ohio's 12th Congressional District [Donate]( Mail checks to: Citizens for J Christian P.O. box 315 Galena, OH 43021 Citizens for J Christian | P.O. box 315, Galena, OH 43021 [Unsubscribe {EMAIL}]( [Constant Contact Data Notice]( Sent by jerrad@christianforohio.com powered by [Trusted Email from Constant Contact - Try it FREE today.]( [Try email marketing for free today!](
