Get your exclusive print from a Chicago legend! Hey Reader, When the Reader first crossed paths with Tony Fitzpatrick, he was a young, budding artist on the verge of excellence. And like the Reader, he's committed to helping support the next generation of Chicago artists. As part of our week-long membership drive, every new member will receive a limited-edition print from this Chicago legend. Tony has a special note he wants to share with you: The first check I ever cashed as an artist was from the Reader. I'd never been happier. The Reader informed my cultural life from a young age. Every Thursday you waited for the Reader to come out because it opened your world that weekend and far beyond. It wasn't merely an alternative news source. It was a publication that trafficked in ideas. It was a source of "other" thinking that was not available in the daily papers. The Reader provided another way to see and act in the world around us. It underlined the messy vitalities of our city. On a weekly basis it illuminated the Chicago we didn't know. I made these prints for the Reader because I am happy to be part of creating more readers for a newspaper that is a lot like a great work of art that keeps beginning anew. The Reader shined a light, and thankfully the lamp is still lit. Tony Fitzpatrick [GET YOUR PRINT]( To support our September membership drive, Tony created a series of six limited-edition prints, inspired by iconic Chicago locations: [BECOME A MEMBER TODAY AND RECEIVE A LIMITED- EDITION PRINT]( When you become a member, your support will allow the Reader to continue seeking out and spotlighting local artists We take risks to provide a platform for new talent, and it’s worth it every time. Without the Reader coverage, where else will Chicago local artists go to reach the wide audience our free paper offers across the city and online? Will you become a member today, in support of Chicago arts and culture?
