Alex In My Inbox is a weekly copywriting series where I share interesting, actionable, and hilarious copywriting tips from "Alex". Alex is an anonymous copywriter who shares these tips with me so I can share them with you.   Today, we’ve got an email from Alex explaining how to maximize the amount of money you can make without being boring.  Let’s see what he’s got.   But first...   My friends at Particl have created a [fantastic resource]( to help you navigate BFCM correctly.  LITERALLY everything you need is inside it.  [This report]( dives into essential topics such as discounting strategies and timing—exploring when to apply discounts and how much to offer.  It also features brand success stories that provide real-world examples of effective strategies.  You'll learn which segments are outperforming the market and gain insights into the brick & mortar landscape, helping you stay ahead in a competitive environment.  And it’s all yours, 100% free.  So grab the report [right here, right now.](     Now let's dive into today's edition 👇     Dear Chase, I know you spend an unhealthy amount of time scrolling social media, so maybe you’ve seen this. The kids these days are throwing around this term incessantly. It’s kinda like monk mode, but it’s been rebranded. It’s called “winter arc”. It’s basically this concept of using the winter to “lock in” and go monk mode and try to figure out how to make money, how to get more muscular, and just improve themselves all-around. I love the concept. It sounds great. I’m all for people improving themselves and spending a period of time “growing”. Here’s the problem with it though… When people talk about “winter arc” or “monk mode”, they’re talking about how they need to lock themselves in a room, work non-stop for 14 hours a day, and shut themselves away from the world. They don’t see their friends, they don’t have any fun, they don’t drink, they don’t go out. They just work. Not sure about you, Chase, but any time I’ve forced myself to work for long periods of time to try and start a new project or make a bunch of money, it never actually works. I get 2-3 days of good, focused work in, but after that, it fizzles out. And because you’re pouring all of the gas you have in the tank into work, you burn out real fast and get lazy. As much as it makes sense that the highest ROI activity you could do is lock yourself away and work all day, it doesn’t work in practice. As a freelancer and as a business owner, I’ve always made the most money when I’m keeping the big 3 perfectly balanced. Health, money, and social life. As soon as I over-index on one of those things, everything falls apart. Too much social life, I’m drunk all week, I lose motivation for everything else. Too much gym, I’m tired all the time, I just wanna sleep. Too much work, I’m brain-fried and I can’t focus on health or relationships. The key is to actually get the balance to be as perfect as you possibly can. Every time I feel like I’m nailing the big 3, I feel SO locked in. I feel confident. I feel good about myself. This is where I get the best quality, highest-ROI work done that makes me money. This is where I feel most motivated to hit a good workout 5-6x a week. This is where I feel energized to go talk to people a few nights a week. You can’t over-index on one. And the winter arc kids need to learn this. I’ve never gotten rich over a 4-week period of being a hermit. It’s over a 24-week period of being well-rounded and crushing all of the priorities. Maybe that’s just me, though. All I want is the best for people. Including, actually, ESPECIALLY you, Chase. Much love. Yours truly, Alex. Sent from my Tonal Workout Machine     I hope you enjoyed this week's Alex In My Inbox edition.
