Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in:     Email Campaign Idea - The Plain Text From Founder Email:   Email Examples: - [The Plain Text From Founder Email Example 1]( - [The Plain Text From Founder Email Example 2](  Purpose/Context of Email: Plain text emails from the founder are good for a number of reasons. It has a positive effect on your deliverability, and it helps your audience connect with the brand. Using plain text makes the subscriber feel like this actually might be an email directly from the founder TO THEM, even though thousands of people got the same email. It gives you a bit of a halo effect. [Example 1]( is from Parachute, a brand for making your house feel like a home. Parachute used their founder to alert the audience that a sale is coming up, which is always a good idea. Her language is naturally very soothing and comforting, which is super on-brand, and I'm sure everyone loved this one. While this email is not truly "plain text" in its pure definition, the idea is still the same. The only thing I would've done differently here is her use of the word "friends". She gives away the fact that she's talking to an entire list instead of just one person. When you say "hi friend" or "hi firstname", it becomes even more targeted and personal. [Example 2]( is from The Essence Vault, a brand we saw last week. I've worked closely with the founder, Connor, and I was able to get some insights about this campaign. This very email was the start of a brand new direction for The Essence Vault. They made so much money because of this email. The audience for this brand is middle-aged women. Maybe they haven't been charmed in a while. This email is as charming as it gets. The copywriter for this brand tested dozens of different brand voices, and eventually landed on the "sweet, sensitive founder" voice.  They used this style of copy for over a dozen campaigns to date to get insane engagement, and a ton of sales. This particular email is so personal and intimate that I'm sure a lot of people thought it was for them, and them only. Keep this in the back of your mind when crafting emails.  Segment: - Your Engaged Subscriber Segment  Subject Line Ideas: - (name), this is (founder) from (brand)! - (name), it's me, (founder) - Important message from the Founder.  Preview Text Ideas: - I had to reach out to you! - Wanted to make sure you knew this... - You got a second?   P.S. Are you looking for help with your email marketing?  If so, hit reply and let's chat!     Partner of the Week: As someone who does a lot of email and social selling, keeping up with my inboxes was nearly impossible. Thus, I’ve left a lot of revenue on the table over the years. The two biggest missed opportunities I identified were: - I wasn’t responding to questions promptly (this forced prospects to look for other service providers) - And when I was answering questions, I wasn’t following up after to move the conversation along One of my big goals this year was to create a system that would allow me to organize and consolidate my sales communications and better manage current and future opportunities. By having more visibility into the dozens of ongoing conversations at any given time, I’m now moving more deals from prospects to closed clients than ever before. After testing many solutions over the past 9 months, I’ve been [most impressed with Pipedrive.]( And it’s no wonder that Pipedrive is the #1 CRM for small and medium-sized enterprises. There’s A LOT to love about Pipedrive but my 3 favorite things are: - The number of integrations they have (this has made it easy to plug and play with most every other app we use to run our business). - Their AI capabilities—I’m a huge AI nerd, and while most platforms are just hype when it comes to AI, Pipedrive actually delivers big here. - The ease of use. It’s a lot more intuitive than every other platform I tested. I’m now passing the torch to you. It’s your turn to level-up your business's sales operations with [Pipedrive.]( [Click this link]( and get 20% off Pipedrive subscription! These phrases work well because they tease more information and encourage readers to keep reading your copy: - “And that’s not all…” – Signals more value ahead. - “Then this happened…” – Teases a surprising twist. - “Keep reading to learn...” – Promises useful insights. - “This may surprise you…” – Hints at the unexpected. - “Wait until you hear this…” – Builds anticipation. Pro tip: Combine curiosity with benefit-driven statements for even better results. For example, “And that’s not all—this one tip can double your email open rates.”     Email Marketing Tip of the Week: If your subscribers haven’t engaged lately, here’s a quick step-by-step email to re-engage them: Subject Line: [First Name], we miss you! Preview Text: Here’s a special offer for you Email Body: Hey [First Name], We noticed it's been a while since we last heard from you, and we’d love to reconnect! To show our appreciation, we’re offering you an exclusive [offer/discount]. Just reply to this email with "Yes, I want it!" and we’ll send you your [offer/discount] right away. Note: This offer is available for the next 48 hours. We look forward to hearing from you! Best, [Founder Name] at [Your Brand Name] Why This Works: - Personalization: Add the subscriber's first name for a personalized touch. - Clear CTA: Make it super easy for them to respond with just one quick sentence. - Urgency: Mention the offer is time-sensitive to drive immediate action. - Simplicity: Reduce friction by simplifying the process—no links or forms, just a reply.     I hope you enjoyed this edition.
