That’s just how it’s done. But what if your wife is nine months pregnant with twins, and experiencing fainting spells? When Mathias and his wife, Dorothy, found themselves in this situation, Mathias did what he had to do: he stepped up. He collected water for the remainder of Dorothy’s pregnancy, and beyond. “I am still helping my wife collect the water,” Mathias told us three months after the arrival of their twins, Tamanda and Tamara. “She is breastfeeding, and she cannot go to the river with the children. I don’t think it would be ideal to stop helping her anytime soon.” Because that’s the love of a man for his wife, and a father for his children.
