[A polaroid of Steven on the beach in front of palm trees. Link to check out CHANI careers on chaninicholas.com.]( 1. How do you use the CHANI app personally? I downloaded [CHANI]( as soon as it was launched, and it’s by far the most helpful and most frequently opened app on my phone. Every morning I check my horoscope to set the tone for the day, and I regularly listen to my latest readings to prepare for the week, month, or year ahead. I often visit the Transits tab to get personal updates on what’s happening in the sky and cosmic context for what’s going on in my little life on Earth. And as a writing nerd, I especially enjoy responding to the journal prompts, which allow me to reflect on the current astrology, and revisiting my past entries, which help me track how I’ve grown over time. 2. What's your rising sign and how do you relate to it? Libra is my rising sign and Moon sign, so the cardinal air energy is strong. I used to identify more with my Sun sign, Taurus (Ferdinand the Bull was my childhood hero, and he remains a role model). But as I started learning about the houses in a birth chart and my other planetary placements, my rising sign helped me see how all the astrological puzzle pieces of my life cohere. That’s probably a very Libra analogy, since it’s a sign that loves cohesion and balance and harmony, just as I love a colorfully patterned shirt and a beautifully plated meal. Libras are also very interested in interpersonal relationships, and I definitely prefer learning about other people to talking about myself. Anyway, how do you relate to your rising sign? 3. What do you like about working at CHANI? It’s amazing to do meaningful work that I love to do alongside such smart, kind, talented people who genuinely and enthusiastically support each other’s growth and wellbeing. I feel so fully accepted on this team, and I appreciate that I can bring my whole weird self to work every day. Whenever I show up at my desk, and whenever I describe my job to others, I’m reminded how lucky and grateful I am to be here. 🌈 WANT TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
