Hey , 1. FAVORITE FINDS OF THE WEEK: Now, if youâre planning to do a lot of walking (especially if youâre doing [my next challenge]()), I highly recommend you invest in a good pair of sneaks/trainers/tennis shoes (or whatever you call them). When Iâm asked which shoe is the best for walking, I always say âit depends!â Factors for you to consider: - Terrain - Budget - Cute factor - Is your foot narrow or wide? - Do you like a lot of cushion? Or do you prefer minimal support? Thatâs why Iâm always reluctant to suggest a shoe because what works for me might not for you. ð¤·ââï¸ Brands that work for me: APL, Nike, Hoka. I tried HOKA Kawana trainers for the first time and Iâm really enjoying them (even though I think they look kinda clunky ð¤·ââï¸). The good news is every brand makes a walking shoe - but any cardio cross trainer with decent tread that meets your other requirements will work! I highly recommend buying your shoes in person from a reputable establishment that will allow you to return them within a reasonable time frame if they donât work for you. Itâs important. Because what feels great and looks cute in the store is a different ballgame after 20,000 steps. Your feet set off a chain reaction throughout your entire body, affecting everything from your ankles to knees, hamstrings, low back and posture. When something is off with your feet, it can throw the rest of your body out of alignment. And price or cuteness isnât always an indicator of quality. = And for those sunny walks, youâll definitely want to grab this[foldable sun hat](=). Itâs UPF 50+ and offers great protection from the sun without needing to constantly reapply sunscreen. Itâs also adjustable and foldable, making it perfect to throw in your bag for outdoor adventures. A big hat is my go-to for keeping my face shaded while walking, and I ordered and returned 5 before settling on this cute one. 2. WHAT I'M WATCHING: Bret and I recently started watching the Menendez trial mini-series on N e t f l i x called [Monsters](), and let me tell you, itâs not exactly the kind of show that puts you in a good mood. The acting is incredible, but I have such mixed feelings about how they portray the brothers.
Everything about it feels disturbing, and I honestly donât know if I can keep watching. Itâs just really heavy, and while the performances are so good, the subject matter is tough to digest and it sure feels like many creative liberties were taken. One thing thatâs been on my mind while watching is how many of these so-called âmonstersâ are tied to the music industry. I havenât fact-checked this yet, but an Uber driver told me that 12 top executives from major labels resigned in the last two weeks. Whether or not thatâs true, itâs wild to think about how many young people have been groomed and victimized in the industry. The connection between the Menendez brothersâ story and the dark side of the music world #PDiddy is something I just canât stop thinking about. Which leads me to another tough subject to discuss⦠3. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT: [In this week's episode of The Chalene Show](, I dive into the incredibly complex and controversial situation surrounding P. Diddy. There's been a lot of noise on social media, with numerous accusations coming to light, and I wanted to take a deeper look into what's really going on. While itâs easy to get caught up in rumors, in this episode I break down why some of these stories are likely true, and why others are being embellished or sensationalized for clicks. This isnât just about Diddy, thoughâitâs about understanding how powerful people can manipulate their way out of accountability for years and why victims are often too scared to speak out. I also discuss the broader issue of sex addiction in the entertainment industry, where wealthy individuals often fall into destructive behaviors. This is a tough conversation but an important one, especially when we look at how predators target vulnerable young people in industries like music and film. If youâve ever wondered why these stories come out years later or how people in power can continue to get away with this behavior, [listen to this episode](). Letâs get into whatâs happening, and how we can better protect those who are often silenced. I love you, I mean it, Chalene P.S.
