It’s up to you -- and each of us -- to elevate our own selves and the entire world. By the Grac

It’s up to you -- and each of us -- to elevate our own selves and the entire world. [A CALL TO ACTION]( By the Grace of G‑d Dear Friend, In the final hours before the Jewish New Year, I'd like to share a thought and a request: We are soon going to be steeped in blessings, tear-drenched prayer books, honey-dipped apples, and festively set tables. [Shanah Tovah]( All of our heartfelt prayers, starting with the shofar’s piercing cry, will transcend our physical limitations and unite in supplication before the Heavenly Throne. And right then and there — the Rosh Hashanah drama will unfold: A new life-force — a spiritual energy never before revealed — will emerge. It’ll be greater than any previous year, and will cause the entire world to be renewed. And although we may not see this profound renewal physically, its effects will be very real: We’ll be able to achieve things we didn’t — or couldn't — before. We will be granted new opportunities to deepen our relationship with G‑d; and to practice and connect in ways we might have once considered too difficult, or even out of reach. And we’ll be fortified with new strength to handle any challenges that we might face. Indeed, the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, would frequently expound upon the power every individual is given to tip the balance of the entire world to merit and goodness! On the global level, the vitality of this new G‑dly life-force will shield and safeguard His people Israel and all of humankind for the entire year to come. This is especially so now when the entire world holds its breath observing the goings on in the Holy Land. Indeed, the Rebbe’s teachings about this are as timely now as ever. These include the Rebbe’s oft-repeated: - assurances of miraculous success for decisive action, - guarantee of safety of the Jewish people in Israel, applying the biblical blessing that “the eyes of the L-rd your G-d are always upon [the Land of Israel], from the beginning of the year to the end of the year,” - encouragement to properly recognize and celebrate G-d’s revealed miracles (reflecting on today: even the most optimistic military assessment did not imagine the non-casualty results of today’s barrage…), and - urging every person worldwide to [personally increase in our mitzvah observance and prayer]( as the greatest insurance, protection and gratitude plan for our people in the Holy Land, and especially to fortify those putting their lives on the line to protect others! --------------------------------------------------------------- Our Sages tell us that when we emulate G‑d to provide new life to others with generosity and love, this paves the way for the awesome gift of Rosh Hashanah, the gift of new life, that G‑d lovingly grants every one of us. Your gift will help so many precious souls find meaning, serenity and inspiration — it will give life to our brothers and sisters in Israel — when they most need it! [Please grant the world — and yourself — the gift of life!]( [PLEASE BECOME A PARTNER TODAY!]( --------------------------------------------------------------- At Chabad.org, this year’s new lifeforce means a greater-than-ever commitment from us to you to provide ever more compelling content, tools, and access points to nourish people's minds and hearts, connect them to G-d’s Torah and mitzvos, and help all achieve inner peace and calm. To accomplish this, and to help further evoke G‑d's all-new blessings to grant a sweet new year to Israel, to the world, and to you and each of us individually — we seek 18,000 partners to participate generously in our High Holiday Appeal, so we can meet people’s urgent needs for Jewish wisdom, inspiration and practice!
