I've been reflecting on our opponents lately... I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about the 2022 elections and how my seat, our community here in Pennsylvania’s 8th District, may be the keystone for keeping the House blue in 2022. The campaign arm of the National Republican Party has already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars attacking me on behalf of my conspiracy-theorist, radically partisan opponent, and it’s amazing to see. [That’s why I’m emailing you. We’ve been gathering funds to defend my seat against this outside money, and we still need another $2,398 -- can I count on you to step up and chip in whatever you can afford today, {NAME}?]( Our politics are broken, and it’s clear that one party is doing most of the breaking. From peddling in dangerous lies to earn partisan points online to openly dismissing a deadly attack on our nation’s Capitol, we cannot let Congress be taken back by this kind of party-first rhetoric. I’m proud to work with my Republican colleagues to pass legislation to help my constituents, and I wish I could say I see the same coming from the other side of the aisle. We can’t let this kind of party-before-country ideology control the House and undo the progress we’ve made in making health care more affordable, creating new jobs, and beginning to rebuild our economy so it works for everyone. [So please, donate whatever you can afford today to help me protect my seat.]( I appreciate you having my back. -- Matt Cartwright Paid for by Cartwright for Congress If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
