A year after the deadliest earthquake in a century.     Trouble viewing this email? [View it online.](   Our best match of the season is ending soon: 3X the impact – [Give now »](     [CARE](   Video message from CARE Morocco’s Imane Belkhammar   A year after the devastating earthquake in Morocco, CARE continues to help families rebuild their lives.   [Play](   Last September, the most powerful earthquake in over a century in Morocco killed an estimated 30,000 people and damaged schools and homes in 95 towns and villages. Zahra and her family were among the 380,000 people who lost their homes. When the earthquake struck, they received critical relief items made possible by the support of thousands of CARE donors like you – food, hygiene kits, and a tent. “The sturdy tent we received helped alleviate our fear and anxiety of sleeping outdoors as the winter was approaching,” said Zahra. A year later, with the support of CARE, Zahra was able to revive her poultry farming business. She also helped her daughter learn sewing and rebuild her dreams for the future. “My mother’s strength gives us hope for the future,” said Khadija, Zahra’s daughter.   CARE and our local partners were among the first organizations to respond to the earthquake. In the year since, with your support, we have:   • Distributed tents, food baskets, and dignity kits to communities impacted by the earthquake in 21 villages to more than 5,000 people.   • Helped rebuild 10 preschools and safe spaces for women and children.   • Supported economic recovery with village savings and loans associations and cash assistance.   Around the world, we help families survive crises, recover from disasters, and reclaim their futures. From Morocco to Gaza, Sudan to Bangladesh, your support helps us reach women, children, and families with lifesaving and life-changing emergency aid. Thank you.
