But what if they can't survive?     Trouble viewing this email? [View it online.](   {NAME}, I am the Area Manager for CARE in Yemen. I am also a mother, and right now, I am doing everything I can to protect my child from the impact of 9 years of war. Even if that means sacrificing how much I eat or sleep. Like other mothers caught in war in countries all over the world, I will suffer more if it means my child might suffer a little less. I am not the only one. No matter the country, women suffer most in times of crisis. And yet, we are strong. We are capable and determined to give our children a future. But we cannot perform miracles with nothing. CARE’s work in Yemen is everything for families like mine. Since 1992, CARE has reached 2.8 million people here with food, water, health, education programs, and livelihood support that has meant my people can have hope for themselves and their children. [Your support makes a difference to us and others around the world. It means we are not forgotten. It means we can do more than just survive.]( Today, we have survived nearly a decade of conflict. But the cost has been high: Two-thirds of our population needs lifesaving assistance — that’s 21 million of my neighbors who need help to survive. At the start of the war, we often spent days without water, electricity, and other lifesaving essentials. Death became a routine chore.   What we, women impacted by war worldwide, fear the most is our children’s futures. One in every four Yemeni children is not in school. At least 2.2 million of our littlest – children under five – are suffering from acute malnutrition. Our children are Yemen’s future. But how will they grow when they cannot even get enough to live?   One mother, Khadijah, down to her last resort, told us: “We don’t have much access to clean water or healthcare, but now I’m also worried about how little they’re eating.” She has to nourish her children with simple bread scraps dipped in tea for breakfast. [Your gift means greater support for women and families in crisis.]( It can mean:   • Food and water to keep children nourished.   • Cash assistance to help families purchase the items they need most.   • Support that helps families overcome poverty with access to income opportunities, livelihood assistance, and education.   We are not just refugees of war. We are parents, children, and grandparents. We deserve to live in peace and support our own families as best we can. But we worry that support will end. Humanitarian needs are only 39% funded. We cannot let Yemen become another forgotten crisis like those in Syria, Sudan, and Haiti. [Please give now to women and children in Yemen and countries impacted by conflict all around the world.](   [GIVE NOW](   With hope for every mother and family suffering from war, Bushra Aldukhainah, Area Manager and Humanitarian Coordinator, CARE Yemen     WHY CARE?   We are the BEST in the world at what we do.   [More than 90% of our expenses go directly to work that saves and transforms lives.
