They worry about how they will manage the cost of cancer treatments and care on top of daily living expenses like food, utility bills, and housing. For many, managing it all isn’t possible. And when people don’t have their basic needs met, it can directly impact their health. That’s why, earlier this year, the American Cancer Society launched our new Addressing Barriers to Care (ABC) grant program to support local organizations that are providing services for people with cancer to address food security and nutrition, education, and more.
