All other things equal, players with supreme confidence in their abilities have a significant edge.

All other things equal, players with supreme confidence in their abilities have a significant edge. They act more decisively. They execute under pressure, even against stiff competition. And they stay locked in even when things aren’t going their way. While watching old Kobe Bryant clips recently, I came across a game against New Orleans in 2012 where he was brick-laying HARD… To the tune of 2-for-20 with a minute left in the 4th quarter. It won’t surprise you that he still took the last shot with the game on the line… A tough pull-up 3 with a defender in his face. And of course he nailed it and the Lakers won the game 86-85. Kobe never cared how many shots he’d missed. He always felt like the next one was going in. You’ll hear that same belief is echoed by almost every great scorer. So what gives them that supreme confidence (and how can you get some yourself)? The answer’s simple, but not easy. The best way to become a confident shooter is to see yourself shooting well. And as they say “seeing is believing”. No mental jiu jitsu required. You have to put the work in to develop your skill set. Kobe knew that his insane practice and preparation meant his next shot was always going in (in his mind at least). So if you’re struggling with confidence - shooting, dribbling or finishing — your skill development regimen is the first place to start. Because a simple “skill upgrade” can give you the aggressiveness and poise you’re looking for. The right basketball camps are one of the most powerful springboards for your skill development… - Spending focused time improving your most important offensive skills - Getting personal instruction from top-tier coaches to quickly improve - Eliminating bad habits holding back your success - Seeing the game with fresh eyes thanks to new coaches, new competition and a new environment - Leaving with a clear plan to get better every day you step on the court Our Breakthrough Basketball Skills Camps are designed to take your game and your confidence to the next level. We still have limited spots left in our Spring Camps, so now is the time to find the right camp for you and get registered.
