As Women's History Month comes to a close, we celebrate our teammates who have become allies and championed others through their careers. [Honoring Women's History For A Better Future] As Women's History Month comes to a close, we celebrate our teammates who have become allies and championed others through their careers. Kathleen “KJ” Jolivette, vice president of Attack Helicopter programs and senior site executive for the Mesa site, joined us as an intern in 2002, and her career has since soared. She has held positions ranging from business manager for the Middle East and Africa in Boeing Defense, Space & Security to her current executive position. Growing up on the Rosebud Sioux reservation in South Dakota inspired her to use her experience to expose more Native American students to professional opportunities, particularly in STEM fields. She has been involved with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), an organization dedicated to expanding Native American students’ access to careers in STEM. Boeing has partnered with AISES to help students for the past 20 years, and AISES recently named KJ its Professional of the Year. ["As a Boeing leader, I feel it is our collective responsibility to help the next generation learn about and pursue STEM education opportunities. We need to support and encourage them — and ensure they know that they can achieve their goals." - Kathleen "KJ" Jolivette, vice president of Attack Helicopter programs] Cass Chin, a senior alignment/satellite production engineer in El Segundo, first became aware of gender bias through his wife, who shared situations and assumptions she had faced over the years. He was also conscious of setting a good example for his son to treat women, “walking the talk.” In 2015, a co-worker invited him to join Boeing Women Inspiring Leadership (BWIL), where he has held several leadership positions encouraging others to mentor women in his field.
