When you get this, it will be Wednesday the 23rd. But for me, as I write this, it’s early on Saturday morning, Oct 19. (Hello!) As I write this, it’s still dark outside. I couldn’t sleep, and I woke up early and am now putting in a bit of time to keep up with work. This week my office is on our sabbatical break. But, to be honest, it doesn’t feel like it to me. I have this week off, but I also have two big projects I’m behind on. This isn’t normal for me, but it does happen from time to time. Sometimes, things can feel just on the edge of “too much”… ^ It usually feels like this (and let me know if you can relate): - New opportunities seem to be popping up everywhere. - I’ve got about a million new ideas, and they all seem exciting and important - There is literally no way I could do all of my ideas right now. (But I want to!) - Family life is “speeding up” — we’ve got a lot going on and a lot to keep up with. - There are a bunch of decisions that need to be made for my business and at home. - There is generally just more demand on my time. In short … it feels like everything is happening all at once. Too much to do, not enough time. When life and business are full like this, I can start to feel overwhelmed. Now… I know I’m the “calm / focus guy” but let me tell you… I don’t have my whole life together all the time. Of course not. Life happens. And that doesn’t throw me. Because I have learned how to recognize it, and, most importantly… 👉 I know how to manage things and get back on track. . . . Here’s what I do when I can tell things are on the verge of too much… - I allow myself to pause - I get everything out and on the table - I get around other friends / peers / mentors who “get it” We don’t need more time. We need more focus. All this to say… Next month, I’m a virtual workshop for business owners who are feeling overwhelmed or spread too thin right now. ^ This is your chance to pause and ask yourself the hard questions about how you want to spend your time. [The Founder’s Refresh]( - Day 1: Your Personal Goals and Margin - Day 2: Your 2025 Business Plan After these two days, you’ll have your focused business plan of what truly matters most and your ideal schedule for how to spend your time.
