Hello! Shawn here. And welcome to this week’s edition of the 2x2 Newsletter. Your premier Friday email for creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and agency owners like you who are doing the important work that matters while creating and protecting your free time to enjoy life. I’m so glad you’re here! Check this out 1: [How to Grow Your Business]( Don’t miss this one. On this coming Tuesday the 13th, I was able to work it out for Mo Bunnell to give us a free workshop on business growth. This is for you if you’re in any sort of client services, professional services, or agency work. Mo will be explaining what it looks like to be DOING the work for your clients, compared to how that is different from WINNING the work with new clients. (You’ve got to excel at both!) [RSVP here so I can send you the link to the private Zoom room.]( Something to think about 1: Do you need a Stop Doing List?If you’re feeling like you’re not making meaningful progress toward a goal, or if your day is just filled with more distractions that it should be, then perhaps you need a “Stop Doing List.” What is getting in your way from the results you want? If it’s things within your control, can you stop doing them? Some examples of a few things I’ve stopped doing: - Stoped charging my iPhone next to my bed. - Stopped bringing my iPhone into my office. - Stopped eating snacks after 7:30 pm (usually). - Stopped checking my email when I’m bored. - Stopped drinking coffee. - Stopped beginning my weeks / days with out an action plan. Sometimes when you’re stuck, all you need is to remove distractions and get a bit of margin to open up what’s next that you wouldn’t have seen otherwise. 2: What to do if your business is you and you are your business… Simple. Get around other business owners. Entrepreneurship can be extremely lonely. Even if you’re not a solopreneur (i.e. you have a team), you still need other business owners you can bounce ideas off of, get advice from, and collaborate with. * * * — Shawn P.S. If you’re an agency owner or consultant, and you’d like to run your full-time business on a part-time schedule… let me know.
