With the deadline for [the Build Your Dream Week Summit]( coming up tomorrow, let’s talk about the elephant in the room. There’s one question we’ve heard more than any other since announcing the summit: “Will a weekly plan REALLY make me more productive? I’ve tried planning my week before but I’m never able to stick to the plan.” My honest answer? Weekly planning often has very little impact on your productivity. If you’ve tried planning routines only to find yourself drifting away from them after a month, you know exactly what I mean. But there’s a reason weekly planning often fails to move the needle… Planning is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to living out your dream week (AKA spending more time on the projects and people that matter most to you). To live out your dream week you need three things: - Clarity — You MUST know what you are aiming for in your personal and professional life. Without a clear understanding of your priorities and desires, effective planning is impossible. - A winning action plan — You need to identify your most important tasks that align with your goals and schedule time to work on them. - Consistency — Making the plan is one thing; sticking to it is another. If your plan sets you up to fail throughout the week, you’re unlikely to keep planning. Take away or invert any of those things and you’ve eliminated the possibility of having a productive, fulfilling week. Here’s what they look like when inverted: - Unclear direction — You have a vague idea of what you want but aren’t sure about the specifics. - Random acts of productivity / busywork — Since you’re unclear on what you want, you gravitate toward whichever tasks seem most urgent at the moment. - Distracted — Instead of staying consistent, you’re constantly trying something new but moving on quickly. Without clarity and consistency, a weekly planning routine is useless. That’s why we’ll work on all three during [the Build Your Dream Week Summit.]( I’m not just going to walk you through a planning template and send you on your merry way. Over the course of our four live coaching sessions together, you’ll get clear on your top priorities right now and THEN work on building the planning system and habits that will allow you to consistently focus on them. You’ll have everything you need to remake your weekly schedule around the things that count (even if that feels daunting with your current commitments). The first workshop starts Tuesday the 11th, so there’s not much time left to save your spot! [Go here to enroll in the Build Your Dream Week Summit now](. ← With the big, hairy question out of the way, let’s run through a handful of other common ones from those on the fence. 1. What if I can’t attend the workshops live? No worries! While attending live is best (and allows for direct interaction), you will also have quick access to recordings of each session so you can easily catch up if a non-negotiable conflict keeps you away. If you join at the Basic level, you’ll have access to the recordings for an entire week from the start date. If you join at the VIP level you’ll get two weeks of replay access. Either way, you’ll have plenty of time to catch up! Each workshop will only be ~60 minutes long. 2. What extras does the VIP level get me? In addition to extended replay access, VIPs also get a special live Q&A session every afternoon of the summit. This will be a smaller group discussion where you’ll have the chance to get direct feedback from me as you implement what you learned during the workshops. It’s also going to be a great opportunity to gain insights from attendees in similar situations to your own! 3. What’s the deal with the Business Owners Roundtable? The Business Owners Roundtable is a special additional workshop for entrepreneurs that you can add to the Build Your Dream Week Summit. As an entrepreneur myself for over a decade now, I’m SUPER excited to lead this live roundtable the following Tuesday after the summit. It will be your chance to: - Connect with other business owners who attended the summit. - Ask questions specific to your business. - Pick up additional strategies for overcoming the unique challenges entrepreneurs face as you implement everything you learned during the summit. Just click the button for the Business Owners Roundtable while enrolling in the summit and we’ll save your spot + send you all the details you need to join us on June 18. 4. How do I enroll in the Build Your Dream Week Summit? Ah, that part’s easy! To save your spot for all sessions, [just go here to enroll before EOD tomorrow (Monday the 10th).]( You’ll be able to get in for as little as $29. And on top of that, you’ll also get a free month in Focus Club, our membership community that gives you access to more live coaching + ALL of our courses. It’s a steal if you ask me. :) See you there in a couple days! — Shawn P.S. Have another question about [the Build Your Dream Week Summit](? Hit reply on this email and let us know!
