Hello! Shawn here. And welcome to this week’s edition of the 2x2 Newsletter. Your premier Friday email for doing the important work that matters while creating and protecting your free time to enjoy life. I’m so glad you’re here. Check this out 1: [A roundup of the latest features in Notion]( We switched to Notion (from Basecamp) several years ago and it turned out to be a pretty great choice for us. The past several months it feels like the development behind Notion has accelerated and improved dramatically. Here’s a look at a lot of what’s new (and why it matters). 2: [Carlink (a gadget for wireless CarPlay)]( Welp. Last month I sold my [1984 Jeep CJ7](. It was on the short list of my dream cars, and I have loved wrenching on it and driving it for the past 7 years. I replaced the CJ7 with something on the complete other end of the spectrum: an Audi SQ5. And boy — a lot has changed in cars since 1984. One thing the Audi has that my Jeep never had: Speakers! And Carplay... But it’s wired Carplay — so I got [this bluetooth adapter]( and it works just about perfectly. Something to think about 1: Don’t stress the fuzzy, outer edges of life and projects You won’t ever make all the edges of your life smooth and finished. Even as we grow and mature in our life, the edges also get pushed out and thus they remain fuzzy. Don’t worry about “fixing” those outer edges — they will always be there. Instead focus on the center and on the core — the things that matter most deeply — and focus on making those stronger and better. 2: How to Plan Your Week Every Monday I start with this template: + Top 3 projects + Events or themes for each day + List of any misc tasks / open loops + How I want to celebrate at the end of the week A simple plan like this will eliminate dozens of redundant decisions for me over the next week. (Notebook pics [here](.) * * * — Shawn P.S. If you feel like too much of your week is spent on “stressing out about the fuzzy edges of life” and not enough time spent on those few important projects… I’ve got something new for you.
