That's a wonderful management technique. But there's a catch. The options would need to increase +100% to grow from $100 to $200. And while that's certainly possible, it doesn't happen all the time. That's why we found additional ways to make a trade "risk-free" without needing a +100% move in our favor. Here are some examples... A +50% target on 66.66% (2/3rds) of the Position = 99.99% of the Investment Back. A +33% target on 75% (3/4ths) of the Position = 99.75% of the Investment Back. A +25% target on 80% (4/5ths) of the Position = 100% of the Investment Back. Our Default Exit Criteria is to Close 2/3rds of the position at +50%. But if we must round up, then we will adjust the profit target accordingly. EXAMPLE: We can’t sell 2/3rds of 4 contracts, so we would round up to 3/4ths and we would put the profit target out at +33%. This "Dynamic Targets" method has been a true break-through for BigTrends. Because it allows traders to recoup their capital way faster than traditional methods, and we've still seen trades hit multi-hundred percent winners on the remainder of the position. What do the trades look like? The META 287.5 Calls were entered at $2.57 and 2/3rds of the position was closed at +50.97% while the remainder ran on to +117.90%. And there's a lot more where that came from... Like the Pepsi (PEP) 167.5 Calls. 5 out of 7 contracts were sold for +40.14% (to recoup the investment capital) and then the remainder of the position was closed for +255.63% within 5 days! The Abbott (ABT) 109 Calls were entered at $1.14 ($114). Which allowed for 8 contracts when allocating up to $1,000 per trade. We know that you can't sell 2/3rds of 8 contracts, so we rounded up to 3/4ths. That meant selling 6 contracts at +33.33%, which made it a risk-free trade. And the final 2 contracts were closed 5 days after entry for +158.77%. When allocating up to $1,000 per trade, and accounting for all wins and losses since 01/01/23... This strategy is up +$9,550. Which is a +191% return on a $5,000 model portfolio.
