At least, thatâs what this #AbroadLife subject thinks.

=.acEJ5u8dMiLhw57FlmJ45yb_WpSAVWc3Jwac0bvfaC8 Heyy Chiamaka. I literally shouted, "Ehn?" when I saw this title. As in, actual death? Honestly. When the subject got to Ghana, he was genuinely shocked to discover they host funerals every single weekend. All for young men; none seemed to ever be older than 30 years. I can already see my Nigerian mum saying something like, "It's the work of the powers of their father's house"... Tell me more about the interview.
This didnât make the final cut, but the subject talked about his inability to use the communal toilets around his house, despite how clean they were. Apparently, the houses in his area were built with bathrooms but no toilets. Heâd always wake up by 6 or 7 a.m. to find a bank in the market where he could do his business in private, and he never used the same bank twice so the staff wouldnât mark his face. Omo. Anything you like about his story?
The way he narrated his trip to Ghana. I could almost see myself in the taxi alongside him, passing through customs at 1 a.m. His use of Ghanaian terms, too. I felt connected to their culture through his story. [Read his story from Ghana](=.TyJPSHAbdKmbRoQTuopEgeAfGwKAa7RQwoQ8JfE1_Wk)

--------------------------------------------------------------- I had an abortion all by myself at 16 I donât even know where to start. Is it how this subject got pregnant at 16 for a boyfriend who was SIX YEARS OLDER? Or that she could easily have lost her life doing a backstreet abortion? Just, sigh.
