All for young men; none seemed to ever be older than 30 years. I can already see my Nigerian mum saying something like, "It's the work of the powers of their father's house"... Tell me more about the interview. This didn’t make the final cut, but the subject talked about his inability to use the communal toilets around his house, despite how clean they were. Apparently, the houses in his area were built with bathrooms but no toilets. He’d always wake up by 6 or 7 a.m. to find a bank in the market where he could do his business in private, and he never used the same bank twice so the staff wouldn’t mark his face. Omo. Anything you like about his story? The way he narrated his trip to Ghana. I could almost see myself in the taxi alongside him, passing through customs at 1 a.m. His use of Ghanaian terms, too. I felt connected to their culture through his story.
