Email Players subscriber Tom Meitner reports: === I used to use ConvertKit but it was super annoying

Email Players subscriber Tom Meitner reports: === I used to use ConvertKit but it was super annoying to write emails in it, and it just got worse. Reporting is godawful, too. I had tried MailerLite but they locked my account once in the middle of a sales push ("accidentally") and so I didn't like losing that control. Decided to go to SendyBay because I used Sendy (self-hosted email) for years and liked it, though I hated having to do all the tweaking and tech stuff myself. SendyBay would do the tech stuff and I could enjoy the simplicity and control. But the email builder was buggy as crap and I had a ton of problems. Support has taken literal months to get back to me on some issues (if they get back to me at all - still waiting on a few). And my engagement went down by, like, 1/3. So, lousy support and lousy engagement. Good price though. But I'm losing money/sales just from the down engagement numbers and all the issues I'm dealing with. I'm tired and want to switch to something that's just gonna work and give me the best shot at reaching all of my list. Cheers, Tom Meitner === Some context: Tom originally got a BerserkerMail test drive but decided to go with that other service, only to realize he done fooked up and returned home where — as a Prodigal — was given a warm greeting indeed. And he ain’t the only one. Word around the campfire is a lot of businesses are getting unacceptably bad deliverability, service, and/or wasting time and hours of their lives each week slogging through nonsensical interfaces designed by developers and not marketers. More and more of these platforms are, in my opinion, basically being worn as skin suits by big banks and faceless corporation when they take their funding… only to give worse service, with an ever-more complex user experience, even while raising prices. Meanwhile at BerserkerMail: We (the owners) use it in our own businesses. i.e., we eat our own dog food, as people like to say. We created it precisely because we did not like the options available, which seem to me to be run and operated by managers, software teams, and employees with pronouns in their bios... instead of actual email marketers who send their own emails to their own lists selling their own offers. BerserkerMail, on the other hand, is owned by email marketers and the helpdesk is run primarily by Email Players subscribers who "get" email. In my totally biased opinion: It ain't getting any better at the distinguished competition. Which means you’re better off coming to us today, before you need to tomorrow. Something else: Tom said when he tried coming back home to us (he originally got a free test drive, then let it lapse)… he was locked out. That was a glitch and was not supposed to happen. I bring this up because if you have taken the test drive in the past, and it lapsed, and you want to join our merry crew of email miscreants, but have seen a screen saying you are locked out, just let the helpdesk know you want in and they will let your prodigal arse back in to BerserkerMail if you want. BerserkerMail is NOT the same company as Email Players, incidentally. Totally different entities. And, so, does not have the same “no coming back” policies I do with my newsletter. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
