One of my Email Players subscribers shared an exchange between him and the support desk of an ESP he is (or was) using. And, it is a true âpost bizeekâ moment. Post bizeek meaning: âShow me your business, letâs see what it looks likeâ Not what your clientâs business, your friendâs business, that goo-roo who you take selfies with's business, your favorite author or celebrity's business. No, what does YOUR business look like â laid out, buck naked, for all to see, not hiding behind rhetoric, appeals to authority, something you read in a book, social media shyt talking, or what some dorklord prancing around the mastermind room about his cool new AI technique said is working now or whatever. Here was the support deskâs advice about daily emails: âDaily emails also likely means that people burn out faster, since if they have to step away for a period there is a huge backlog of emails that piles up and a lot of folks won't go back to read them. This naturally puts you at a bit of a disadvantage for reputation and you may want to offer the option to get less emails (like a recap email on Mondays and Fridays) and see how that performs as an alternative. In my experience, most subscribers actually want less total emails, but for them to be more valuable, which may actually save your team some time instead of having to stick to such a strict schedule. Does all that make sense?â This is basically the fat doctor who smokes giving health advice to the athlete. I would bet green money this support guyâs never sent a commercial email in his life. Nor has he grown a list much less built a relationship with said list. Compare that to a BerserkerMail testimonial posted by Christopher Downey: (in the free BerserkerMail Mead Hall Facebook group) === Just wanted to share that I've finally got the hang of the daily email combined with Troy/Ben high standards of who remains on my list -- and I love it. It's producing results that greatly exceed my expectations. At first, it was incredibly intimidating. I had SO many mental blocks, and when I first started it would take more than 4 hours to write an email. What broke me through was a warmup campaign that Lance from BerserkerMail told me I needed to do. He wanted me to write 14 emails, which I thought would take forever to do. Actually, I wasn't even sure I could do it. I sat down and forced myself to bust them out. And something magical started to happen. Each one got easier. I wasn't overthinking everything. I was starting to... have.... fun! Now I can bust out 2 emails in an hour, sometimes less. Absolutely stunning to me. They are all the "brain fart" type of emails but there is a core group on my list who loves it. Some of the emails are so good that I'm just shocked that I actually wrote it. Its like if I don't try too hard but just have fun and love what I'm writing about and who I'm writing for, then the magic happens. BTW, I'm not a natural writer. I'm a software developer with a tiny one-person business in a hot-potato health niche, and dyslexic to boot. So here's a BIG thank you to Troy, Ben and BerserkerMail!!! ==== You can listen to whoever you want, of course. But this is one of the many differences between BerserkerMail (created and run by email marketers for email marketers) and these other ESPs helpdesks. BerserkerMailâs helpdesk is primarily run by our COO and co-owner Nicole English and Lance Hunt â both of who are Email Players subscribers who understand email and donât just theorize about it asking if what they said âmakes senseâ when none of it makes sense. So there you have it. The difference between us and those other guys.
