This resource powers today's greatest tech, from the Tesla you see go by, to the phone you use, to the computer you have at work. [In 2019, demand for lithium was 263,000 metric tons, whereas production was a paltry 77,000 and met only 29.28% of the market need.]( By 2022, there was already a massive effort to increase lithium production, but these faced enormous setbacks due to the pandemic lockdowns. Despite this, production increased dramatically to 130,000 metric tons! Unfortunately, lithium demand had skyrocketed by then to 559,000 metric tons, meaning production met an even smaller percentage of need at 23.26%. This fire isn't going away anytime soon, as demand is set to double again by 2025. [While the fire rages on, one company in particular has caught my interest.]( [lithium deposit]( Despite owning what could be America's 4th largest lithium deposit in its possession, its stock price is still just around $0.30 a share (at the time of writing). Lithium is yo-yoing between $20,000 to $42,000 per metric ton. Even accounting for an extraordinarily conservative $20,000, [the one company I'm watching closely]( – would still be sitting pretty at $108 billion based on their over 5 million tons of estimated reserves. But if prices continue to accelerate and rise to $40,000 again, this company's stockpile is potentially worth $264 billion. Especially when you consider the political climate right now. Temperature Rising on Foreign Relations World War III isn't starting right now or hopefully in the future. But WWIII isn't needed to stop production at scale on critical resources. See the Ukraine conflict, for example. Multiple gas companies had distribution deals with Russia, but when they invaded Ukraine, many felt the cultural pressure to stop dealing with the country – even before any ban started. [To no one's surprise, completely replacing these significant chunks of a distribution chain takes a lot of money.]( And gas companies later made Americans foot the bill. Gas prices soared despite each company having a huge incentive to offer cheap quality gas in exchange for lifetime support from customers. A similar situation is happening between the U.S. and China. China is eyeing Taiwan the way Russia eyed Ukraine. If the situation were to escalate, then China's 70% of the global lithium supply could get cut out overnight. [The results would be catastrophic to the economy.]( We all tasted what this would be like during the pandemic when China was no longer shipping critical resources. Cars became drastically more expensive overnight, and we haven't seen prices come down meaningfully since. And now that all car manufacturers need to ensure at least 40% of car battery packs are domestic lithium sources by 2025, the situation is ripe for domestic opportunity. Thunder Sounds from Olympus When you're looking for a treasure to boost your portfolio in an uncertain market, thunder is roaring in the distance. [This company's project to turn that potentially 4th largest deposit into a lithium producer is special.]( If you want in on over $200 billion in upside, then you need to start doing due diligence on my favorite small-cap company right now by [clicking here](.
