It’s safe to say that collectively we are all more aware of the ingredients we consume in products. From the food we eat to the grooming products we use to look and feel our best, we’re all paying a lot more attention to what we’re putting in and on our bodies. This, of course, isn’t a bad thing. But it seems now that we’re flooded with product advertisements using all sorts of marketing buzzwords — buzzwords like “all-natural” or “made without chemicals.” But here’s the rub — natural ingredients aren’t always good, and chemicals aren’t always bad. After all, cyanide is a natural ingredient that will kill you, and water is a chemical compound that sustains life. Many companies have put marketing at a higher priority than product development, and that’s why you see excessive green-washing. It’s easier to sell a bad product and say it’s natural or “eco-friendly” than it is to develop world-class products that are safe and effective. When we formulate Beardbrand products, we strive to develop the BEST product in the marketplace. Yes, we prefer natural ingredients, but if they can’t perform, we won’t use them, just like if ingredients aren’t healthy, we won’t use them. As a consumer, you have a lot of power when purchasing something. Do not be fooled by marketing buzzwords. Instead, educate yourself on the ingredients and how they can help you look and feel awesome. If you aren’t sure what an ingredient is, you can always check our [Ingredient Glossary]( to see what it is and why we use it. Keep on Growing. SAY, WHAT'S IN THIS STUFF?
