We’re SICK of sending you these emails, {NAME}. We’re SICK of coming to you with this horrifying news. We’re SICK of our communities being torn apart by gun violence. [But we just had a DEVASTATING weekend.]( We witnessed SIX mass shootings in just two days. We witnessed SIX innocent lives stolen by gun violence. We witnessed 42 people wounded by mass shooters. [Including the horrifying mass shooting in Lexington, Mississippi, where a shooter armed with a semi-automatic rifle outfitted with an illegal switch that converted it to a machine gun slaughtered 3 innocents and wounded 7 more at a high school homecoming party.]( [{NAME} – this week marks one year since the devastating mass shooting in Lewiston, ME, that stole the lives of 18 innocents and wounded 13 more – the deadliest mass shooting in 2023. Just weeks after the tragedy in Lewiston, Senate Republicans cruelly BLOCKED a vote to ban assault weapons like the one used by the shooter and other common-sense gun safety legislation. And after this weekend’s devastation, our country has witnessed over 420 mass shootings this year alone. It’s clear that nothing will convince Republican lawmakers to take action on gun violence – not even 426 mass shootings, no matter how deadly or horrifying they are. We’re sick of Republicans’ disgusting inaction and we refuse to let them get away with it any longer. That’s why BAWN is proud to be working to elect gun safety Democrats in vulnerable Republican districts poised to DEFEAT each and every gun-lobby-backed Republican standing in the way of ending gun violence. Can we count on your $15 before midnight to help elect candidates who will work tirelessly to stop these mass shootings for good? Your contribution will directly support our work to DEFEAT the Republicans who enable these tragedies with their cowardice. >>]( If we want any chance at protecting our communities, we have to get weapons of war out of our streets and pass comprehensive gun safety reform. Yet countless gun-lobby-backed lawmakers are working to do the exact opposite. – They want even more guns on our streets. – They want even easier access to assault weapons. – They want even less restrictions on who can carry guns. They even want to tear down all the progress that President Biden, Vice President Harris, and our Democrats have already accomplished. [That’s why DEFEATING every single vulnerable Republican complicit in these shootings and REPLACING them with a gun safety Democrat is so important.]( [But we can't do it alone, {NAME}. We’re calling on 500 supporters to join us before midnight to PROVE to the gun lobby and their Republican cronies that we will spare no expense to END their time in power for good. Can you pitch in $15 ASAP? We’ve already donated over $100K to candidates who need resources with your help, and each and every dollar goes to the campaigns of gun safety Democrats like Tony Vargas, Maxwell Frost, and Colin Allred. >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thanks for all that you do, Team Ban Assault Weapons Now        ‚ ‚ BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
