Just weeks ago, a 14-year-old used an AR-15 that he was gifted by his father for Christmas to kill 4 innocents and wound 9 others at a high school in Georgia. This is only the latest example of a young person using a gun accessed through their parents to carry out a mass shooting. [So I’m absolutely horrified at the callous disregard the gun lobby, gun sellers, and their Republican allies in the government have for the safety of our children and our families.]( But for far too long, Republican leaders have turned their backs while our children are targeted by the gun lobby, marketed to by gun manufacturers, and then killed by the guns those very lobbyists and sellers are peddling. [It’s unacceptable. It’s inconceivable. And as the number of tragedies carried out at the hands of young people with firearms SKYROCKET, it’s never been more important to end the reign of terror the gun lobby and their cronies in Congress have brought on. That’s why BAWN is determined to elect a WAVE of gun safety Democrats up and down the ballot that will hold the gun lobby ACCOUNTABLE in this historic election – but we need your help to get those candidates the funds they need to win. Our campaign accounts are at an all-time low after we rushed more than $50,000 to gun safety Democrats like Maxwell Frost and Andy Kim. But if just 300 grassroots supporters chip in before midnight, we can refill our accounts and ensure we have the funds to win the Democratic Gun Safety Majorities in Congress we so desperately need. That’s why I’m not giving up until we DEFEAT every single one of the politicians who takes blood money from the gun lobby and manufacturers.]( [How many more children need to turn into mass shooters before gun-lobby-supported politicians wake up and act? How many more of our babies need to die at the hands of other babies with guns they should never have access to before our leaders pass common-sense gun safety laws? How many more families need to be torn apart by these senseless, preventable tragedies until elected officials do the bare minimum to protect us? So, {NAME}: I need your help to show the gun lobby, firearm manufacturers, and their Republican cronies that there’s hell to pay for endangering our families by promoting putting guns in the hands of children and refusing to do ANYTHING at all to end gun violence.
