[Sandy Phillips]( [I’m personally asking you to donate $15 today to honor my precious daughter, Jessi, and the 11 other innocent souls stolen from us, 12 years ago, in the Aurora, Colorado theater massacre with action and support to the Tour to Save Democracy. >>]( {NAME} -- it’s been 12 long years since I lost my beloved baby girl, Jessi. On July 20, 2012 she went to the premier of Dark Night Rising at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater. This is the last thing I would ever hear from her: “Go get some rest, can’t wait for your visit. I need my momma.” Just minutes later, she was gone -- slaughtered along with 11 others at the hands of a gunman with an AR-15. Jessi was just 24 years old. I miss her presence, her laughter, her wit, that smile -- her whole being. [Photos of Jessi]( The world I knew ended that day. It has been 12 Thanksgivings, 12 birthdays, 12 Christmases, 12 New Year's Eves without our precious girl. Our hearts never heal from gun violence, but we fight so hopefully you don't experience this pain. [That’s why I’m standing with BAWN and the Tour to Save Democracy. But we need your help to hold cowardly lawmakers accountable and unseat every one of them who refuses to protect our children. We need to raise $6,000 today in honor of our Jessi and the 11 other lives stolen from us on July 20, 2012. Will you chip in $15 to help the Tour to Save Democracy's work to elect gun safety champions committed to banning assault weapons -- like the AR-15 used to murder my daughter? The Tour is traveling over 4,400 miles from coast to coast to rally around the gun safety Democrats committed to protecting our families. >>]( Since I lost Jessi, there has been tragedy after tragedy with no end in sight. Over 400,000 Americans have been ripped from this world by gun violence. And millions more have had to mourn their loved ones. [That is the cost of Republicans’ inaction, {NAME}.]( This cannot be the road our country takes. That’s why I’m still fighting 12 years later -- and that’s why I’ll never stop fighting. [I know we can put a stop to the endless bloodshed in our country. But only if we all work together to hold complacent lawmakers accountable. That's why the Tour to Save Democracy's trip to 20 swing districts is so important. So I’m personally asking one more time: Will you chip in $15 to help the Tour raise $6,000 today in honor of our precious Jessi and the 11 others stolen from us 12 years ago? Every dollar you donate goes to support the Tour as they rally Gen Z around gun safety Democrats in swing districts dedicated to unseating complacent Republics, ending gun violence, and banning assault weapons once and for all. >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thank you for your support, Sandy Phillips Jessi’s Mom, Founder of Survivors Empowered         BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
